Bryan Adams is the first solo studio album by Bryan Adams.
Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance are the only two people to play on the whole album.
The rest of the people appearing on the album are guest musicians. They include Jeff Baxter from Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers, Fred Turner from Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Jim Clench from April Wine and Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and David Hungate, who was at the time the bassist of Toto.
Though written by Bryan Adams, the song "Wastin' Time" was recorded by Bachman-Turner Overdrive before Bryan Adams. Bachman-Turner Overdrive's version of the song is on their 1979 album Rock n' Roll Nights.
